My love for millinery began in 1998 in the vibrant world of Louisville, Kentucky—the home of Churchill Downs and the iconic Kentucky Derby. As a passionate attendee of the Derby and Oaks, I craved a truly spectacular hat to match the grandeur of race day. That spark ignited a lifelong passion for creating stunning headwear.

Born in America with deep English roots, I returned to the UK in 2001 and founded Hats by Cressida. Today, we blend American flair with British sophistication, designing luxury hats and fascinators that grace events worldwide—from the excitement of the Kentucky Derby and Royal Ascot to elegant weddings, garden parties, cocktail evenings, and beyond.
